The Chester-le-Street Branch of Richard Hardie is the original branch where Richard Hardie began. It was built on the site of a former cinema in the village of Newfield which is 2 miles west of Chester-le-Street. The branch started selling cars in 1973 and became a Peugeot dealership in 1987. This branch has a strong customer base and loyal customers that have been buying cars from Richard Hardie for many years
