The 4007 has two badge levels with the 4007 SE and GT with a 2.2 HDi Diesel Turbo (156 bhp) engine.

Every diesel engine generates particulates. Peugeot pioneered the use of the FAP (particulate filter) for standard equipment. This is when a porous structure is inserted into the catalytic converter to trap harmful particules of carbon as the exhaust gas passes through it. This reduces emissions to barely measurable amounts. The ensure the 4007 diesel engine always operates as efficiently as possible a warning light comes on when the filter needs attention.
